these riots - mindless violence with little motivation other than to tear london apart and destroy the livelihoods of innocent people. that’s the most desperately tragic thing. it’s senseless and hateful and devastating areas of the city. the pictures of the buildings going up in flames are horrifying; the guy speaking on bbc news, saying how his girlfriend has been calling him terrified and that his seven year old daughter is crying her heart out, broke my heart. this has to stop.
